The island is home to some of the best white sandy beaches in the region.  The beach gets less developed as you travel further south.  Calm blue water is at its best during dry season from December through April. The west side beaches are the best places to enjoy the sunset falling on the Andaman sea. You will also see small islands on the horizon including Koh Phi Phi, where the movie, "THE BEACH", was filmed." Most beaches including the beach in front of the villas are great for swimming.
