A Tuk Tuk, is a motorized rickshaw which can carry two people plus the driver.  It is made by attaching a 2-person side car to a motorbike.  They are used on Koh Lanta as readily available and economical taxi's which are a fun way to travel short distances.  Rental cars and motorbikes are also available and cars may be rented with a driver.

The east shore of Koh Lanta is the location of Old Town.  It was originally built many years ago as a sea trading port.  The town is only a few blocks long but it provides an interesting mixture of restaurants and shopping. Further south on the East shore is the Sang-Ga-U sea gypsy Village which has a few restaurants nearby.
